FAQs for Standalone Smoke and CO Detectors
What’s the difference between interconnected and standalone smoke and CO detectors?
Interconnected smoke and CO detectors have a built-in RF wireless communication module that enables you to wirelessly connect two or more interconnected detectors and create an interlinked network. Standalone smoke and CO detectors do not have this module so they work independently of other detectors.
Can it be hung on a wall, or does it need to be hung on a ceiling?
The device can be installed on a wall or ceiling. It is better to install it on the ceiling, as smoke usually reaches the ceiling first.
