These smoke detectors look good on a wall or ceiling, but they are typically large (5 inches in diameter). The LED lights that flash every minute or so are very dim and not intrusive at all. The siren and decibels are consistent with others.

Love the idea that they are all connected. Installed all 6, tested each and they seem to work. Decided to actually smoke test it with a piece of burning wood. (safely done) I put the smoking wood directly under 1 siren and the whole room was filled with smoke and the siren never went off.

The only thing that worries me. According to the instructions, once you connect to the base, it starts with a 10-year battery. The one I bought was already attached to the base and I removed the screw holes that went into the wall. (????) So I don't know if it's a return. So I'm dating them all the same, but I have to worry now if I have one

This is probably too loud for my tiny house, especially if it goes out easily and there is no smoke. But it definitely wakes up people nearby. Time will tell if it will last 10 years.

The system is self-contained so there won't be 8 alarms screaming when you try to find the initial alarm. Amen. The battery can last 10 years! For easy testing, we installed Velcro strips.

Please read the instructions several times. It takes several times to ensure that each detector is connected to each other.
The base requires you to use only their screws, otherwise the detector will not connect. They should redesign the base so any screws can be used. I have 8 probes installed and hope they will work properly for the 10 years shown.

I was worried about installing these, so I looked for a video but couldn't find one for this model. Other videos make it look easy for me to hang them up. I got a pack of 6 because they are connected together. Once I had them all installed I tested and everything was fine. You need to make sure the screw heads are flush, otherwise the device won't lock into place. Hopefully I'll never actually test them, but seems like a good option.

Installation instructions say "use an appropriately sized drill" to drill holes for mounting the detector. So what's an "appropriate size"? They could have said "3/16 inch" in the instructions but I had to figure that out myself. Not a big deal, but a complication that could have been avoided. Detector has a manufacture date of 2021-06-26, it arrived 2022-02-22, so it looks as though I should replace it 9 years 4 months after installation. Does it work? Won't know until I have a fire.

These are excellent plug-and-play upgrades compared to anything over 10 years old. Both of my current ones need power to the house, but these don't. The harder part of the installation might actually be removing the existing old equipment. If there's any downside to these, it's that they have a slightly bulky design, but that's just based on my preference for a streamlined design. Their standout features include easy connection/pairing with other devices, 10 years of battery life and a very loud/audible alarm.

Highly recommended! ! We replaced wired smoke detectors with these wirelessly interconnected detectors. Boxes are paired together. We also purchased smoke/CO2 detectors that must be paired. Pairing is very easy. We installed a total of 7 detectors in about 30 minutes.

To be fair they are designed to mount directly to the ceiling and they do provide drywall anchors to do that but I didn't want to put a blank board on the junction box where the old smoke came off so I got it working . No need to connect to 120 volts like the old detectors, working entirely on batteries advertised as 10 years, we'll see if that's true. Overall, very satisfied with this smoke detector system and would recommend it to friends or family.

Very satisfied with my purchase. Install the alert immediately after receiving the alert. Easy to install and does not take time. It was a rainy day, so they put the package in a plastic bag. This is great! ! ! Cannot comment on battery life because I only have a short time.

It may be too noisy for my small house, especially if it can easily go out without smoke. But this will definitely wake up people nearby. Time will tell whether it can last for 10 years.

It is installed with two screws and anchors. A little smaller than my previous one, so there must be a new installation. When cooking causes an alarm, there is a 10 minute turn-off time. The previous alert lasted for ten years of advertising, and these are similar.

The compact equipment fits the ceiling of our bedroom very well. The alarm worked well in the test and the battery life seemed to be very good (but I just installed it).

If you are changing the brand, the two holes for ceiling installation may be in different locations, which usually means one or two more holes in the ceiling.
I have started to put the old and new bases together, mark the location of the old holes, and drill out the new suitable bases.
In this way, the new kit is secured to the original ceiling hole.

It is just a smoke detector, but I like that it can be connected with other wireless smoke detectors. We have these three. One is about four years old, in a restaurant near our kitchen. We know it works because if we mess up and burn some food, it will ring like a clockwork. It is very loud.

I had to buy this because I put my friend’s smoke alarm in his toaster oven to make it stop beeping when I was drunk and burning frozen pizza, and his roommate did it the next morning It melts when you put a hot pocket. Therefore, smoke detection: 5/5, durability in the oven: 1/5.

It is easy to program multiple units so that they sound the same. A good solution for newer fire codes that require smoke detectors to sound together.

When following the instructions, it can be easily paired with other X-Sense wireless interconnect detectors. It comes with spare batteries, screws, wall anchors, and several different adapters and wire nuts to hang into existing wires. This is what I need, everything is fine.

I've had these for several weeks and the wireless system is working well. One of the units was in a separate workshop about 75 feet from my house, and the wireless connection worked fine.

The working principle of this smoke detector is the same as advertised. A "wireless network" of the smoke detector is created in your home (please note that this has nothing to do with the WiFi network.) If one of the units detects smoke, all units will alarm. This is a good solution for situations where larger houses and other remote devices may be too far away to be heard. Another nice feature is that you can "turn off" any unit's alarm.

I have used it in my kitchen, but ionization tends to be provided faster. This doesn't bother me, but if you don't want to know the moment when the popcorn core may be about to catch fire, you may want to move out of the kitchen. There are on every floor of my house. They work together perfectly.

After some tests, they do work very well, and the three are connected to each other...you will have a lot of noise in your house...this is what you want. A great way to update the security of an old house without wiring.
