FAQs for SBS50 Base Station

Must I use the base station to access app functionalities?

Not necessarily. WiFi-enabled products such as XS01-WX, XC04-WX, SC07-WX, and SSC0A can connect directly to the X-Sense App without needing a base station. These devices are designed to provide seamless app integration independently.

Does my alarm require a base station to operate?

It depends on the type of device. Devices like STH51, SWS51, SDA51, SMA11, SAL51, and SAL100 require the base station for normal operation. However, the XS01-M and XC01-M alarms can function without the base station unless app features are desired, in which case the base station is needed for app connectivity.

I have multiple X-Sense alarms. How many base stations do I need to purchase?

You only need one X-Sense SBS50 Base Station to manage up to 50 devices. This includes a variety of safety devices such as smoke detectors, CO detectors, thermo-hygrometers, water leak detectors, and more that are listed above. The base station is designed to efficiently manage large numbers of devices, making it an ideal solution for extensive home safety systems.

One base station can add 50 devices. How many base stations or other devices can be added to a single APP account?

1 APP account can create 5 Homes. Each Home can add 1 SBS50 base station and 49 X-Sense WiFi models (including smoke alarms, Carbon Monoxide alarms, Combo Smoke & CO Alarms, and SSC0A cameras). Each SBS50 base station can further add 50 sub-devices (with a maximum of 10 STH51 thermo-hygrometers, while there's no limit for SMA51, SWS51, XS01-M, SDA51, XC01-M, SAL51, SAL100, and SSL51 devices).
