Bought these to replace my old units that had reached the end of their lifespan. I have to say, these are probably the best detectors I've come across. I needed ones with electric power, battery backup, and voice alerts, and these have it all.

Needed to upgrade my old smoke detectors and chose these, and I'm so glad I did. The voice alert feature is fantastic, especially for knowing exactly which room has an issue. Installation was simple enough, but they are square, which makes lining them up perfectly a bit of a challenge - especially when your old electric boxes weren't meant for square detectors. Still, they look great once installed, and they're easy to set up. Just watch out for the bright LED light if you plan on putting them in the bedroom.

The voice alert is super useful, letting me know where the alarm is triggered and if it's smoke or CO2. The only downside is the LED light - it's crazy bright, so I had to cover it up a bit in my bedroom. But they work great for hallways or other rooms where you don't sleep. The square design can be a little tricky with older electric boxes, but once they're up, they look really sleek. Great product, especially for the price

Installation was a breeze with the anchored screws that came with it just drill, mount, and you're good to go. Works perfectly throughout the house. Definitely a solid purchase, no complaints here!

I live in an old house with plaster walls and slats, so I ended up mounting these directly on the wall. Had to cut a 2 center hole for the cord plug to have enough room to turn and run it through to an outlet. The first one was a bit of a hassle, but once I got the hang of it, the second one only took about 5 minutes. Definitely helps if you know what you're doing! If you're installing into a box, you won't need to cut a hole. Also, I absolutely love the design of these
