Set the alarm's location BEFORE you fully attach it!

Works well so far - it seems fully functional (though I've only heard the nice and loud alarm through a test since I haven't had an actual smoke or CO incident). My only complaint: changing the location setting after installation is a huge pain. The mounting bracket makes it difficult to access the button once it's screwed in. Pro tip: set the alarm's location BEFORE you fully attach it to the ceiling!

easy install

easy install, linked right up with eachother, also look more modern. i really like that theu are combo units instad of having to have seperate CO detectors

Easy to setup up

Easy to setup up but packaging was beat up and it wasn't easy to install the smoke alarm so it looks level (it's a square design so aesthetically it would be nice to make it easier to figure out how to install level).

Very good product

Very good product. My only complaint is that these units are not compatible with other brands of smoke/CO2 detectors, so you have to disable the 3rd hard-wire (signal wire) to the remaining units, which in my case is not a big deal.

X-Sense XP02-AR Voice Interconnection without WIFI

I have spent about 20 hours comparing interconnected hardwired smoke and CO alarms for my house with even some manufacturers giving me false claims. Having VOICE trigger locations broadcast throughout my house without the need of buying a "smart" smoke detector device or a smart phone is my critical requirement. I checked out First Alert SMCO100V, Kiddie 30CUAR-V, and X-Sense XP02-AR. I even bought the entire First Alert system for my house to find out that despite being told it does, that it does NOT transmit the voice location of the triggered smoke detector over the entire interconnected network to every device on the network. So fortunately, Amazon took back the 18 First Alert detector system 3 months late by using the "I was out of town" excuse. NOTE: IMPORTANT CONCLUSION: The X-Sense AP02-AR does indeed convey through every interconnected (wired) detector the voice location of the triggered smoke detector without the need of cell phones and WIFI. I tell you this that it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING how well it works. It is the only smoke/CO detector device on the market to does this! Note: The only complaint I have is that the Green Power LED is too bright. And the perfect solution for too bright Green LEDs in like bedrooms is to purchase from Home Depot the Scotch 35 White Blanc Blanco Electrical Tape which comes in a nice plastic storage case. Then apply multiple layers of the electrical tape to cover the LED. One layer of tape reduces the LED brightness by 50%. The tape perfectly blends in color wise with the XP02-AR. For my kids bedrooms where you want just a hint of the LED light apply 4 layers of electrical tape. It is the absolute perfect solution to the bright LED problem. Thank you, X-Sense, for the solution to my needs of true interconnected voice. I just wish you would sell these on Amazon.
